Here are some resources for looking at representation online. My thanks to the members of the AoIR (Association of Internet Researchers) Listserv for submitting these sources.

This page was created by accident when a colleague designing a new course asked if I knew any good references about self-representation online. "Not my area, but I'll ask on the AoIR Listserv." I was quickly overwhelmed with helpful suggestions. So many I created this page with almost 50 sources and growing! Ya gotta love ICTs!


danah boyd at Microsoft Research has two huge bibliographies on Social Networking sites and Twitter.
